Such a good book, read the naming too and the whole series so far is excellent.

I enjoyed this series of books. The heroine, Maerad, is gifted but not perfect. The author describes various cities and locations very vividly. I was amused by the enthusiasm Maerad shows for being clean, something that is often missing in most fantasies :).

There is a lot of darkness in these books and you get absorbed in seeing how the characters battle their internal demons as well as external foes.
