This is one of Louis's earlier books (early 1950's). Still a good solid western. My wife really liked the story because the main character (Matt Sabre) had the nerve to tell the main woman of the novel that he was going to marry her. Women, you have to listen to the dialogue to see what we mean. Anyway, this is a good western story for those of us (men or women) that yearn for a simpler time. Also, the narrator is one of the most western sounding guys I've heard.
