Referring to MSEMOS' comment, I couldn't have put it any better myself. Doctor X was so bad - the story line, the dialogue, the acting - that it was difficult for me to sit through it. The Return of Doctor X was a little better - enough to be entertaining, mainly for the novelty of seeing Bogart in the role of an eccentric(?) scientist. Don't expect to see either film on the AFI Top 100 list unless you find yourself in the Superman Bizarro World. Far more likely in this universe would be the Chicago Cubs as MLB's World Champions or a P. T. Barnum-like character elected President of the United States. Oh wait...

I think the return of doctor x was better than the original doctor x but that isn't saying much
