I liked the flower options provided in this book, however I found the patterns difficult to read. I've been crocheting for over 15 years, and consider myself pretty proficient, but these flower patters left me confused and frustrated. At times, I would completly ditch the pattern and free hand my own, based on the picture.

this book had easy to read patterns, wonderful projects, and the patterns are easy enough for beginners.

Instructions for many flowers, leaves and insects. The crocheted ones are charted. At the back of the book are ten projects for using your results. I think crochet cotton and a smaller hook would be an improvement, although, admittedly, then the results will be much smaller.
