Very unusual story with great characters. Great historical fiction. I feel like I'm right there. Can't wait for #3

This is the second book from this author Gennifer Choldenko, featuring Moose Flannagan. Set in the 1930's, Moose and his family live on Alcatraz island where his Father is a prison guard. It's a close knit community at Alcatraz and everyone has their part to play to ensure the safety of the inhabitants of the island--even the infamous Al Capone!
