Amigurumi is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals and anthropomorphic creatures. Typically they are kooky little animals but they can also be inanimate objects, like vegetables, that are given faces and limbs.

This book will have 20 designs, including animals and inanimate objects. A knitting basics section will provide instructions for all the techniques needed to make the projects.

Extremely well-crafted knitting patterns, with lots of clever details. Not for beginners unless they have the patience to try several new stitches. I made the starfish first, and I was thrilled with how lovely it turned out, down to the subtle twist in each arm. One of the best Amigurumi books out there.

Nicely detailed descriptions. Good pictures of some of the tricky parts.
The patterns are very original and make for fun and cute gifts.
