If I could have only one cookbook in my kitchen, this would likely be it. I have rarely made a recipe from here that didn't shine. Lots of great basic recipes, like plant-based meal alternatives (sausages, etc). We make the MexiMeat all the time - it is so easy and yummy! There are a ton of familiar comfort foods to please new vegans and vegetarians, and dishes that will please the uber-healthy longtime ones! I just made the cashew-based cheese and it was amazing!! It came out firm and delicious, just like a block of cheese should, and shredded perfectly. I used it in the Veggie Enchiladas from the same book, which were also amazing. Lots of basic recipes like refried beans and salad dressings, and muffins, plus unusual and more culturally diverse ones. I have yet to make many of the baked goods, simply because I have so many other vegan baking cookbooks, but they all look tantalizing! My only complaint? Too many recipes to choose from :)

I've only had a chance to make a few of the recipes in this book, but so far they've turned out very well. There is a huge variety of recipes to try, including some novel ones. I can't wait to try some of the unusual but tantalizing recipes in the dessert section!

This is a wonderful cookbook with simple delicious recipes! Excellent food for vegans and non vegans alike!
