With the turn of every page, The Big Book of Gross Stuff will challenge your gag reflexes as it introduces topics, terminology and trivia about toilets, scabies, decaying bodies, and much more. The pages overflow with humor and an array of cool phrases that will have readers bending and sending, blowing soup, and gargling gravy all the way to the bathroom!

For instance, did you know:

  • In 1971, a band named Hot Poop released a record titled Does Their Own Stuff! They were never heard from again.
  • When using fake vomit, the key to faking people out is to sprinkle water on the stuff to make it look more realistic.
  •
  • Belly button lint is composed of dust, dried sweat, fat, dead skin, and bits of cotton. A man named Graham Barker has collected his belly button lint in jars since 1984.

          Gross but not grotesque.

For ages 9-12. The Big Book of Gross Stuff is exactly what it sounds like. Stuffed with the trivia, facts, and history of everything nasty, Bart King’s latest book shares all you ever wanted to know about the gross stuff that enters and exits the human body.

And, speaking about "gross stuff" - Do you wanna know what I think is really-really gross?.... Getting myself ready to read this book called "The Big Book of Gross Stuff", opening it at a random page and finding that page smeared with a blood-encrusted booger left there so thoughtfully by a previous reader.

Yuck to the max!!..... Now, seriously speaking, can you think of anything much grosser than that? I sure can't.

Anyway - With that grossness aside, I quite enjoyed Bart King's book of gross stuff. Even though this book of gross facts and figures was clearly aimed for an audience of readers much younger than myself, I still think that it was a worthwhile read (as I'm sure you will, too).

So, does the following saying sound at all familiar to you? - "Oooh! That's so gross!!" - Well, it should have a familiar ring to it, 'cause you've probably said it yourself more than once in the not-too-distant past.

Anyhow - Here's one thing you're sure to find out after reading Bart King's humorous, well-researched book of gross stuff - Pretty much everything about being human is (in one way or another) closely connected to being gross.

From pus, fungus & mucous, to making your own shrunken heads, to everything else under the sun, and beyond - Reading King's book of grossness could very well be one of the most revoltingly fun experiences that you've had in quite a little while.

In conclusion - Here's two wee tid-bits from Bart's grossly informative book that may help wet your whistle enough to check out this vomitous volume for yourself.

          (1) Did you know that nose-picking is, indeed, universal amongst adults?

          (2) Guess what "certain something" astronaut Neil Armstrong left behind on the moon (in 1969) following the planting of the American flag?
