I loved Chapter 2, the short bio's of real-life witches through history. As the author writes, "from the vantage point of the 21st century where society's tolerance may be taken for granted, it can be difficult to comprehend the bravery of those who emerged publicly from the broom closet" - and of course, many of them were executed. There are also chapters on media witches in TV's Bewitched, Harry Potter and comic books.
