I only recently stumbled upon Marianne Richmond's thoughtful and adorable books. This one is very reminiscent of "Goodnight Moon," featuring farewells to the events and objects of the day. The colourful artwork and lulling rhythm make "The Night Night Book" engaging and calming - perfect for sending babes off to sleep. Even I want to nod off when I read, "Comfy bed, all tucked in. Cozy blanket, toes to chin."Admittedly, my son and I still prefer Margaret Wise Brown's classic but Richmond ranks a close second.
