Such a page turner! This book deals with many coming of age issues: learning an adult you thought was perfect is quite flawed, dissension between friends, a first serious romance, and making one's faith one's own. Rachel is Jewish, and her faith is at first tied to the adults in her life. But despite (or perhaps, because of) difficulties in her life, her faith grows stronger, and the ending gave me goosbumps of happiness.
