when i saw the book i was like "what the heck" and picked it up. but it ended to really good. and i think it just won the spot of my favorite book. and i have read a lot! of books.
but what i like about it is that it talks about her past a bit so you know how she feels without her telling you so much.

"The Hunger Games" seems to have met its match with "Dualed."

It was a pretty good read, but I didn't looove it. There are a few holes in the setting that I would've liked to see explained, but I haven't read the sequel just yet, so maybe it shows up there? Bottom line, I *might* suggest this book to a friend haha

Perfect to a Freaking T. I can't wait to read the Sequel. I'll be glued to that book indefinitely.

I did enjoy this book (and pointing out the obvious comparisons to The Hunger Games and Battle Royale is like beating a dead horse), mostly because I liked the characters and how they developed. I also liked Chapman's skill with scene-setting - I truly felt like I could see the places she described. Overall, it was a good read, and I am waiting for the sequel

Great new take on a post-apocalyptic dystopian society where everyone is born with a genetically engineered "twin". The Board rules all and to keep their little city-state safe from the outside world, all citizens must earn their right to live as soldiers by being the worthy one of the twins, which is, naturally, accomplished by killing the other. Yes, there is a lot left unanswered at the end, but where there was already a planned sequel at the time of printing, hopefully it will tie up loose ends. Really solid debut YA novel.

I don't know how there could possibly be a sequel to this edge of your seat thrill-ride, in which West must kill or be killed by her twin. A really special dystopian that both haunts and thrills.

This book just really wasn't for me. There wasn't anything wrong with it. I could explain to you what I did and didn't like, but it really just comes down to this genre isn't for me.

This book had an interesting premise, but I felt it left too many things unanswered at the end. There was also just a stunning lack of morality. When picking up a story with a plot like this, you would of course expect a certain amount of coldness at the beginning, but the book remained that way through to the end. I don't want to spoil anything, and I saw that the author is working on a sequel, so perhaps my complaints are unwarranted, but all in all, this was a rather unsatisfying reading experience.
