All Penny has ever wanted to do is dance--and when that chance is taken from her, it pushes her to the brink of despair, from which she might never return. The Art of Falling offers some insight into the world of dance as the main character struggles with an eating disorder.I found the troubling dynamics of the mother/daughter relationship interesting but other parts of the novel felt very rushed to me. Still it was a moving story.
