The plot and emotions of the characters seem so real and alive, I love the subtle mix of humor, loyalty and friendship that grows in each book. I am hooked on the storyline and can't wait to read/listen to the next book.

Marguerite Gavin does an awesome job as the narrator, giving each character different voices. She makes the audiobook so enjoyable to listen to.

This is the third book/audio book in a great series. It is fun, magical and action packed. I love the characters. You feel like you are going through everything with Rachel. Rachel is clumsy, strong willed, hard headed and can kick butt with the best of them. I liked her with Nick but felt he put her at risk with always calling the demon but when she accidentally makes him her familiar for her class. Nick can't handle feeling the power coursing through him when she pulls on a ley line but instead of being a man about it and telling her he tries to sneak off in the middle of the night without telling her. He doesn't leave any way for her to get a hold of him, she doesn't want to believe it but knows he's not coming back. Out of loneliness she agrees to go out Kisten who is turning out to be a decent guy and who Rachel has smoking hot chemistry with. I like Nick but he's going to have to do something big to redeem himself at this point.
The narrator (Marguerite Gavin)for the audio book does a fantastic job with the different voices for the characters and using the right tone to in their voices. No monotone from her. Awesome job Marguerite Gavin and Kim Harrison.
I give it 5 stars and can't wait to read the next book in the series.

I add to stop denying it, Nick wasn't coming back - Rachel concerning having Nick's key..finally admitting that didn't mean he was coming back
