Great book! Love the series! Definitely a must read for all ages. This book is well-paced and the characters are ones you can root for to the end of time. Shannon Messenger knows how to create worlds that feel like they were meant just for you.

Another fantastic story by Shannon Messenger! What a terrific way to continue the original story; this book introduces you to a few new characters, as well as a completely new storyline. This is not one of those sequels that is just a revamped version of the original; this takes you on a thrilling adventure that you never saw coming, as well as letting you, as the reader, get to know Sophie just a little bit more.

My friend said the third or fourth book of this series . Can't wait for the seventh book! I read so many good books suggested by my friend. So far my favorite book is the finisher by David baldicci . But who knows ? This book could Be next.

Exile, written by Shannon Messenger is the second book in the series, The Keeper of the Lost Cities. In this edition of the series, Sophie becomes more opened to the new world she lives in, which means she experiences new problems and dwells deeper in the flaws of her “perfect” world. Following the first book, Sophie must face the secret enemies that she discovered, yet fighting someone you don’t know proves to be exceptionally hard for Sophie as she struggles to trust anyone and everyone. As the writer continues to mix fear, tension, humour and trust in a single book, this novel will have you hooked with every turn of a page. Overall, this novel is another 5/5 out after the first book, now the story continues on to the third book, Everblaze.

The second book of the series is amazing. You'll see new relationships becoming stronger, and so many new secrets to uncover.

Completely forgot about this series for a few months, and then stumbled across the books again and thought "Wow, I should try again to finish this."
And I'm glad I picked it back up! This was definitely a good addition to the series. After getting past the first several chapters, I was hooked into the story once more, just like with the first book. The thing about these books is that the beginnings can be somewhat slow/boring, but once things start rolling, you won't put it down.
The character development is what pretty much made the story for me. Sophie is a stronger, more sure character after the end of this book. Honestly, in the first book I was a little sick of her getting all these "amazingly cool talents that no one else has" left and right and left and right....but in this book, Messenger explores the downsides to her abilities. I appreciated that; it made Sophie more real. Also, Fitz was more realistic as well; I won't go into spoilers, but I liked where the author took his character. Honestly, despite the pain it can cause the readers, I want to see that...other side of him again. And of course, Dex and Sophie have strengthened their friendship, as well as Sophie and Keefe. Both Dex and Keefe deserve more page time.
Overall, I'm satisfied with this book. Only have a few bones to pick with it.
