Winter Stroll is the second book in the series. It was very much like the first book, Winter Street, as it picks up on the same characters. It was good enough to keep my interest, but is not a favorite.

Just about a family with lots of mixed up relationships. Not my kind of book. Others might like it. The second book in a trilogy.

The second novel in the Winter Street series was, now that I can keep the characters apart, was much more engaging and interesting. Now I have to see the story through!

The second book of the Winter series does not disappoint and just leaves you wanting more from the Quinn family.

I did not realize that this was the second book in a series. While I had trouble keeping track of the relationships between characters at first, it was easy enough to settle into the book without having read the first in the series. However, I was incredibly frustrated that the book didn't have a conclusive ending. None of the myriad story threads were resolved aside from the last minute Genevieve and Isabelle arc. Further, the characters fell flat for me. They seemed like rich, petty people with rich, petty lives. While they each had token flaws, they seemed to have very little inner life outside of those flaws and their otherwise idyllic lives. This book was neither campy enough to be a satisfying soap, nor deep enough to be a provoking story. It left me wanting less, not more.

Winter Stroll is the second of a trilogy. I have read the other two so i knew where the characters were coming from and where they were headed. Regardless of this the book did not disappoint. The Quinn family lives are full of drama and are passionate in all that they do. While some of the scenarios may be unbelievable Hilderbrand makes them realistic. A good read to follow WInter Street and to be read before Winter Storms.

This is the second book in the trilogy and was easy reading. This story takes place a year after the first book and it's Christmas again on Nantucket. The Quinns are busy getting ready for the season and they are all dealing with their own problems. The drama continues. I'm looking forward to the last book.

Enjoyed even more than first one. Faulty characters really shine here - not one is perfect, but they are all doing their best and pull through when the going gets tough. Ditzy Mitzi is my favourite. A bit of an unresolved situation leaves you hanging and waiting for the third in this trilogy.

A good soapy read for this sentimental time of year!

"I know you think people don't change..." "People don't change...we are who we are, and then we keep becoming more and more ourselves."
