Sort of a sequel to Random Acts of Kindness, but works as a stand-alone novel, too.
This novel was a bit more tense and suspenseful with less self-awareness dawning among the characters. Still, it's a good read.
It's been a while since I read it, so I've forgotten some of the details, but I remember that a runaway teen learns that hopes can disappoint us, but life can give us even better than what we'd hoped for. The adults learn that we should not allow our fears to control our lives. Nothing we fear is as bad as we fear it will be.
