I'm listening to this audiobook week by week as I progress through my pregnancy, and I love how factual and information heavy it is. The "Dad Tips" are kind of ridiculous (see the comment below this one), but the information for expectant mom's is very helpful and, at least for me, has been spot on from week to week. Along with the bible of all pregnancy books, "What to Expect When You're Expecting," this has been my go-to resource.

On the one hand, this book is a treasure trove of information. On the other, it's basically a patronizing series of disconnected proclamations and proscriptions. Bonus unintentional humour appears every 20 minutes or so when a male voice breaks into the onslaught of commands to the mother with a helpful "Dad tip" like "Bring flowers for no reason." Um, that's actually a life tip? For either gender? Also, this book is so nuclear-heteronormative it hurts, and I'm in a nuclear straight relationship. If you're hungry for information, give this one a shot. Don't feel badly if you need to give up on it, though; there are so many other options that are more supportive and less condescending.
