-- USA TODAY Caroline Reynolds has a fantastic new apartment in San Francisco, a Kitchen Aid mixer to die for, and no O (and we?re not talking Oprah here, folks). She has a flourishing design career, an office overlooking the bay, a killer zucchini bread recipe, and no O. She has Clive (the best cat ever), great friends, a great rack, and no O. Adding insult to O-less, she also has an oversexed neighbor with the loudest late-night wallbanging she?s ever heard. Every moan, spank, and?was that a meow??punctuates the fact that not only is she losing sleep, she still has?yep, you guessed it?no O. Enter Simon Parker. When the wallbanging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Caroline, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts her heard-but-never-seen neighbor. Their late-night hallway encounter has?well?mixed results. Because with walls this thin, the tension?s gonna be thick. A delicious mix of silly and steamy, this is an irresistible tale of exasperation at first sight.

One of the only books I have not finished. The main character is irritating and epitomizes everything wrong with the modern day "Hook-up" generation, the secondary characters are 2-dimensional and the plot is ridiculous. Then there's a cat that wants to mate with a woman. If this is an example of a popular contemporary romance, I would recommend avoiding the genre.

A light, humorous romance read. I appreciated the softer sides of both the hero and heroine shown in the book.

I grabbed this book because it was on the 2013 Good Reads list. I was misled. I won't lie. I had a bad feeling about it right from the start. But I kept reading, and it was to my detriment. Brain cells were lost. Tears of remorse were cried. There are too many books in the world to read in my lifetime, and I wasted time on this one. I'll not waste more time on this review, but move on to better things!

"He slipped gently into me, and at first my body resisted. It had been a long time, but the pain I felt was welcome. It was that good kind of pain, a pain that let you know something more was coming. I relaxed a bit, allowing my legs to wrap around his waist, and as he pressed further into me, his smile became infinitely sexy. He bit down on his lower lip and tiny frown lines appeared on his forehead. I breathed in, inhaling his scent as I watched him pull back the slightest bit, only to thrust once more. Now fully inside, I welcomed him the only way I could. I gave him the little internal hug, which made his eyes flash open and peer down at me. 'There's my girl,' he murmured, raising one rakish eyebrow and thrusting into me again, with more conviction this time. My breath caught in my throat and I gasped, unwittingly rocking my hips with a motion as old as the waves crashing down below."-excerpt from Wallbanger
