Carol Brady, the character Florence Henderson played on the perennially popular sitcom the Brady Bunch was the perfect mother, but Henderson's background growing up in the aftermath of the Great Depression was a sharp contrast to that innocent suburban idyll. And though Mrs. Brady is the character she's most associated with, Henderson's talents have taken her career far beyond the scope of one TV sitcom. From The Tonight Show, to Broadway with Rodgers and Hammerstein, to her more recent appearance on Dancing With the Stars, Florence opens up about her life in and out of the spotlight. From her challenging childhood, to her extramarital affairs and divorce, Florence writes with honesty and wisdom in this inspiring memoir.

Oh, wow. Her life more in common in HBO than Disney with alcoholic moonlighting moonshiner father, forced to work in Cleveland mother & a handsey "fill his own sin material" priest.
At least she gave warning on TMI events aka misadventure affair.
Never thought as her as postpartum depression poster child, genetic hearing loss or given Catholic dispersion on using the pill to preserve her health.
So depressed on her brother helping her in above depression only to lose his life falling asleep with a cigarette in his hand.
Interesting adventures at supper club & Vegas.
I definitely remembered her Weston Oil, & Tang commercials. Now I have to look up on Youtube when Carol challenged Mike Douglas to do her walk & talk commercial while holding plate of fried chicken that didn't end well.
I could see near scandal on dating & marrying her bland looking hypnotherapist as her second husband.
Ditto on hiring new nanny rotating nightmare despite glowing recommendation. I smell movie here!

It was pretty good and straightforwardly written, while I found it was interesting that she became a hypnotherapist in her later years.
