This book was slow in the beginning - but the characters had so many layers that were exposed slowly through out the story, much like peeling an onion. You really had no idea where this was all going to end - and who was going to come out the winner in this mysterious tale because everything kept changing as the story went along. Keep with it and you will soon become entranced by the story as you try to figure out the outcome.
