A good but not great movie, but worth it for the shocking true story it tells. It's an inspiring account of a rare successful challenge to corporate corruption and the serious damages caused, in this case by DuPont.

One of the better things Ruff has done; pretty good, current story.

Frightening reflection on American greed and disregard for human life and environment.
The lawsuit won but at what cost. Morality is constantly being trampled.

Lots of unnecessary bad language but still excellent. Proves that going against big corporations can be winnable, even though for some it is too late. EPA was wrong when it grandfathered poisonous chemicals into the “safe because used and never tested category” when all chemicals should have been tested by unaffiliated labs when it (EPA) came into existence. I recommend this film.

Well, I certainly liked this film! I as well viewed the Bonus material which gave a bit more depth to some parts in explanation and revealed as well that several people who lived it, were in cameo parts dotted throughout the film. Excellent acting by all!
I HIGHLY recommend this film, and that you see for yourself what might draw you in.

This superb film tells the story of an attorney who risks his career and family to uncover a dark secret hidden by one of the world's largest corporations and the effort he makes to bring justice to a community dangerously exposed for decades to deadly chemicals.

Based on the true story of corporate lawyer Rob Billot who sued the chemical giant Dupont on behalf of a farmer whose cattle were poisoned. It's a moving and heroic story but very slow moving. It feels rooted in 70s paranoid thrillers like "All the President's Men" and "The Conversation." Good performance by Mark Ruffalo as Billot. Directed by Todd Haynes.

Pretty good movie. I thought I would be bored because its more like a documentary than a movie. But, I was surprised. Boy, a "tenacious attorney " would be the right description for the main character. He fought long and hard and won.

They should have received a lot more money. I was disgusted by the lack of empathy and the deceit that permeated the whole disaster by Dupont.
